External - Assisting Rotorua setup Rogane event

Rotorua LandSAR have been asked to help with the setup of the Great Forest Rogane event in Whakarewarewa Forest and wanted to see if we had any volunteers interested in assisting.

We will register your interest, but then get Rotorua LandSAR to provide further details closer to the date.

More details to follow, but you will be using navigating, radio skills, GPS work and more.

Informant indicated that a person was on the Mount with a fractured leg.

Details of location were very vauge.

There was a search conducted of the tracks and no one was located.

It's possible that the injured person was assissted down by members of the public that were still in the area at the time.
