Two people had left Kauritetahi hut and couldn't find there way back. They had a GPS but didn't know how to use it. They read out there grid reference, which was only 500m from the hut. One team sent in to pick them up and take them to the hut for the night then walk out in the morning. LP's located and 3am Monday.

Tramper injured ankle/lower leg after leaving Kauritatahi Hut to head home.

Two LandSAR members were sent in to assess the injured person and locate a winch site or landing zone.

They were able to assisst the injured person to a helicoptor landing zone about 500m away.

The injured person and his mate were lifted off and the delivered to Hamilton Hospital.

The LandSAR team walked out that evening.

Woman missing from mental health ward with possible dementia.

Patient was located not long after teams were called.

LP has phoned family to say he is disorientated and unable to find way out.

LP has a GPS and without maps, was able to give a position of his current location.

IMT set up with comms, a team of 4 was deployed to the location given by LP.

Search team met up with LP and walked out the way they came in.

Happy ending, LP did many thing right especially leaving trip intentions with family members.

Called recieved from group stranded at the Te Rereatukahia by slips on the North/South Track.

Te Aroha SAR called to assist by sending team to hut from the Waikato side. When the Tauranga team were free from the previous operation they started to make there way to the hut also.

Te Aroha SAR arrived at the hut and after tasking with the stranded group it was decided to walk them out the way the search team came in.

The Tauranga SAR team was returned to base.

Found safe and well.

Woman failed to return from a walk to Ananui Falls.

Call came in at 0005hrs, Field members were already in the field while returning from a previous search just south of the search area.

One team went into the area she was intending to go, more teams were deployed after 0600hrs, with assistance from Waihi and Paeroa LandSAR members.

The missing party was found safe and well not far from the Waitawhate Hut 12hrs after the initial call.

A tramper was trapped between two ladders with a dog and needed assistance to navigate the ladders.
